Hey Maj, you'll probably end up lvling more than one class just to get certain class abilities from them before settling on a main.  I for one lvld conj 4, marauder 10, and pug 6 just for their healing abilities.  I've settled on maining lancer and have it @12 atm.

If you're like ketsu...who's maining archer, there's not a whole lot of cross class skills you need other than some dmg boosters, since you rain death from afar.

One things for certain crafting if just for the sake of repairing equipment seems almost a necessity.  While the NPC repair can take any equipment except accessories to 75%, the cost increases exponentially as you get higher equip (10k+ to repair my lvl 13 body piece).  Lvling leatherworking is now allowing me to repair the same body piece for just the cost of mats (480gil).

I think the general goal for everyone in the CE early start should be to get their main DoW class out of the lvl 1 camp asap, lvl 10 if possible

met up with kets, ryu, and nul on Cornelia.  Gridania to be specific...had a great time. Been trying out all 3 toon slots in all towns and I'm probably going to start retail in limsa or ul'dah since i'll be playing either glad and backing it up with armor/black

not sure how i feel about crafting...these minigames are fun in the short term but figure they'll get old real quick

Just got my OB code today. Will see if i can check out Cornelia w/ you all. BTW can you choose the server now or is it random with a pass like XI?

nah i've been playing on aerie peak as horde the guild i was in just died literally overnight i tried lvling up a warrior but got burned out from the quest grind and quit heh

I tried playing the GRAW demo on my computer today and what ended up happening was I either fried my computer internals or just burned through a a hard drive.  

The computer keeps hanging on the welcome screen in windows before the logons are displayed.

So far i've tried a repair install but it too freezes at a certain point.  I've connected the HD via USB to a laptop to scan it for problems.  So far no problem with defrag or viruses.  I haven't done a surface  scan yet but I plan to tomorrow.  I really don't wanna sit through a like 4 hour installation of ffxi and a reinstall of windows and all my apps on a new hard drive ;;

Anyone have any suggestions?

Hiya everybody! Bout that time again to start up another mission static! ToA comes out on the 18th and I was hoping to get started maybe  on Friday the 28th a little over a week after release.  ATM my schedule is gonna prolly be Daytime runs on Friday and Saturday. With Night runs on Mondays at 6pm PST and Tuesdays at 10pm PST.  Possible night time runs on friday and saturday depending on HNMLS schedule. Anyone interested?
